➡️I love the Bible, because I love truth. And I believe the Bible is truth! And according to the Bible, there’s a day coming when Jesus is going to return for his church, his people (not just people who go to church, or people who are really nice), but those who have a relationship with Jesus, who have confessed their sins and given their life to Jesus. After He returns to get his people, He’s taking us to heaven for a seven year celebration – and everyone else is going to remain on the earth and experience what the Bible calls the “great tribulation”. When Jesus was asked about all of this, he said the “generation that see’s these things is the same generation that will see the end”. So what are “these things”? The Bible talks about wars; famines; earthquakes; persecution of believers; false prophets; an increase of evil – and things like that. However, every generation could probably say that that was their generation; but there’s three things that has to take place according to the Bible that hasn’t taken place until our generation.

ONE:: According to Isaiah 11 // 66, Israel is going to become a nation again for the second time in one day – and that happened in 1948.
But, first, let’s go back to 600 BC, when Israel was captured by King Nebuchadnezzar of the Babylonians – the prophets (which are simply men and women who speak for God) said that they would be captured, and they would remain in captivity for 70 years.
Exactly 70 years later, to the day, King Cyrus restored Israel back to their homeland…just like Isaiah said it would happen. Over 500 years later, in 70 AD, Israel was captured again. This time the city was destroyed, the temple was destroyed and over 1 million Jews were killed. However, two thousand years later, following WW2, on May 14, 1948 Israel was declared a nation again, for the second time…in one day…just like the Bible said it would happen.
TWO:: According to Luke 21, before the end can come, the city of Jerusalem will be under Jewish control.
Back to 1948 – Israel was declared a nation, but they only had control over half of Jerusalem. However, in 1967 — in what was called the 6 Day War, Israel took all of Jerusalem. From now until the time Jesus comes, Jerusalem will be under Israel’s control.
THREE:: The issue of Jerusalem causes the world to unite against Israel.
According to Luke 21:20, when you see nations coming against Jerusalem, this is a clear sign that the end is near. When Israel officially regained control over Jerusalem in 1968, the United Nations went crazy. They hate Israel.
For example, from 2006-2016, the United Nations Human Rights Council criticized Israel 68 times, 3 times more than any other nation.
Between 2012-2015, out of 97 resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, 83 of them were against Israel.
In October 2023, Hamas brutally attacked Israel, killing over 1,200 people; and taking 254 hostages. However, within hours, there were people in the streets all over the world celebrating Hamas. Why? Because the world hates Israel. It makes no sense.
In December 2017, President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, becoming the first world leader to do this since King Cyrus in Zachariah 12, 2500 years ago. However, the United Nations still today does not recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Why? Because they hate Israel.
And remember what Jesus said – according to Matthew 24, “The generation that sees the beginning, which I believe was 1948, will also see the end.” Since Israel first became a nation in 1948, it’s been 76 years.
In Psalms 90 it says that a generation is 70-80. Interesting!
Remember, the world as we know it will eventually come to an end. I’m ready – are you? It’s in the Bible – and the Bible is always right.
