Coming to Homewood in January 2027, The Genesis School of Music offers a welcoming place for children ages 3 and up—and adults—to discover and develop their musical abilities.
Alongside traditional PRIVATE LESSONS, Genesis also offers one-hour group MUSIC LABS that combine music theory, music history, hands-on activities, and individual instruction on each student’s instrument or voice. We also offer classes in YOUTUBE DEVELOPMENT (future Youtube star?) and the WORSHIP BAND.
Whether your child is trying music for the first time or ready to build on existing skills, our approach helps students grow in knowledge, confidence, and creativity.
Founded in 2012 by Stan and Tracy Sheridan, Genesis brings real performance experience into the classroom. Music paid Stan’s way through college and led to years of touring with a major production throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Our instructors also include musicians who perform weekly for audiences of thousands.
Our former students have gone on to perform on major stages and tours, release music on all streaming platforms, and sing before the judges of American Idol.
Wherever a student’s musical journey leads, we believe a strong foundation and encouraging instruction make a lasting difference.
We look forward to becoming part of the Homewood community. To learn more or reserve your spot, call 205-661-8410.
